On MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show of July 20, Ms. Maddow posed an interesting question as she wrapped up coverage of the pseudo-controversy concerning ousted USDA official Shirley Sherrod. The manufactured controversy involved what appeared to be a videotaped admission by Ms. Sherrod that she had discriminated against White farmers. At the end of my last post I briefly noted several famous people who died in 2009. These were people I felt made such an impact upon the lives of others that when they passed, even people who did not know them felt a sense of personal loss. I can’t wait for ‘Conspiracy Theory’, Jesse Ventura’s new show on Tru TV (formerly Court TV) to air. About Me My Humble Opinion is a collection of opinion articles, observations and commentary by me Carl Mitchell. I am a native Missourian with degrees in English and Journalism. My political views are mostly liberal except on some issues. (If you decide to follow my blog you’ll have to guess which ones.) I have gone from extreme poverty to being one who has bounced back on his feet several times. That is not to say that my blog will be whiny and humorless.
