At the end of my last post I briefly noted several famous people who died in 2009.  These were people I felt made such an impact upon the lives of others that when they passed, even people who did not know them felt a sense of personal loss.  I will always remember the feelings of loss and sorrow that swept over me when my sister woke me on December 8, 1980 and told me that ex-Beatle John Lennon had been murdered.  I didn’t know the man, had never met him and most likely never would have me...
